Bio Sketch
Ramo Šendelj is a research chair for cyber security at University of Donja Gorica, Montenegro, currently working as a Professor at Humanistic studies.
A computer scientist by training and skills, Ramo considers himself a learning and information scientist
developing computational methods that can shape rapid changes in cyber environment and advance both, methodological and technological protection of
information and knowledge in digital word, and enhance prevention, protection and reaction of cyber treaths and attacks.
Funded by granting agencies at national and EU level, Ramo is a recipient of several research and commercial grants.
He is a member of H2020 Programme Committee for “Research infrastructure”; Bologna Expert for Higher Education Reform and he is FP7 expert for Ethics reviewing, Research & Innovation. At national level, he is a member of Council “Montenegrin Research and Education Network”, Member of the Steering committee of HERIC Project (Higher Education and Research for Innovation and Competitiveness), Member of ICT team for Montenegrin Think Tank Project, and National expert for accreditation of high education institution in Montenegro.
Committed to the development of national educational and research community, Ramo had a pleasure to serve as a Dean of Faculty of information technology for 7 years (period 2006-2013), in the same time serving as a Vice Rector for Finance and development at Mediterranean University for 2 years (period 2009-2011), which brought necessary experience in governing with financial issues over the university budget focusing on two major activities, education and research.
Currently serving as a co-chair of the Master study program in cyber security at University of Donja Gorica, Ramo is a (co-)author of numerous research papers and books and a frequent keynote speaker.
